The first donation has been made by the Trustees to provide vital and much needed equipment to the MND Association. The Foundation has provided a Litewriter, the latest speech to text device available and specially adapted ipads to assist the immediate and specific needs of individuals in the local area.   Over 80% of people with MND will have communication difficulties, including for some, complete loss of voice. This can be very frustrating and leaves them feeling isolated and alone. The MND association provides an equipment loan service of communication aids and these come in several different forms.
Ben Sharpe of the MND Association says “Your kind gift will help us to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers, across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and particularly in your local area.
We are also honoured to have been the recipients of the first gift from the Malcolm Gunter Foundation and we would like to assure you that this donation really will make a difference to the lives of people living with and affected by MND.  “
